Diamonds

Round

The Round Brilliant cut is a timeless diamond with the most popular shape for many years. With this type of Cut, you have the most options to play with regarding the 4 C's, allowing the most optimal brilliance in your diamond. A Round Brilliant has 58 facets that maximize the sparkle and brilliance.

Cushion

The Cushion Cut shape allows the buyer to choose a stone with the ratio of a perfect square or the option to have an elongated diamond that accentuates their fingers. Cushion cuts are quite popular due to their shape and larger facets, which create close to the same scintillation and fire of a Round Brilliant. The ideal ratio of a Cushion is between 1 and 1.2.

Pear

Those with longer fingers desire pear-shaped diamonds due to their elongated shape. Wearing the pointed end toward the fingertip provides a slimming effect for your finger. The ideal ratio of the Pear is between 1.4 to 1.7.

Oval

Oval cut diamonds are another elongated shape that has a slimming effect on the wearer's finger. This Cut has some of the same fire, scintillation, and brilliance characteristics. Ideal ratios for an Oval are between 1.3 and 1.6.

Heart

The heart-shaped diamond is a feminine shape, making it perfect for a Valentine's Day gift. These were first crafted by taking a Pear shape and creating the cleft in the rounded end to create perfect halves of a heart. It is an uncommonly requested shape, but one shape that strongly symbolizes love.

Radiant

Radiant-shaped diamonds are known most commonly for their cut cornered edges. These diamonds pair most effectively with Round Brilliants, Bagguettes, or Trapezoids. Radiants can be cut in an elongated rectangular shape or a perfect square.

Asscher

Asscher cuts are closely related to Radiant and Emerald shapes. But Asscher diamonds are always cut into a perfect square to accentuate the brilliance and fire.

Marquise

The shape of a Marquise cut diamond is often compared to a football. Due to the shape, you can maximize carat weight in a Marquise. Wearing this diamond north to south creates a slimming effect on the wearer's finger, just like a Pear, Oval, or Cushion diamond.

Princess

The princess-cut diamond is another timeless classic. Its four pointed corners and traditionally perfect 1:1 ratio are its hallmarks. Depending on its set or cut, this diamond can be viewed in modern or vintage lights.
